Interesting videoconference (my laptop in france to his classroom screen in BC via webcam)with Steve DiPaola at Simon Frazer U in BC. His grad class is doing some immersive three-D work based on the K-web and we threw around some gaming ideas: plan is a virtual gaming center where you go and meet others and play in the K-web. Steve's high-level avatar work makes the prospect of what this will end up looking like very exciting. I'm going to be the 'ghost in the machine' - a guide, mentor, and general bore at the user's side (or in ear, or - as we Brits say - up nose!). I'll keep you posted.
